We traveled West by Northwest of Milan to Bergamo and then Northeast to Sotto il Monte (under the mountain). Our first Mass was held in this church which is in Pope John the 23rd's hometown. The town was festooned with the papal colors of yellow and white. The Mass was held in this church and our photo was taken across the street. The rest of our pilgrimage members were quite energetic despite having just arrived in Italy this day.
